Syarat & Ketentuan
[eSIM Usage Conditions]
1. Device supports eSIM functionality
Check method: On the phone dialer interface, dial *#06#. Generally, having an EID indicates support for eSIM. If there is no EID, eSIM cannot be used.
2. Phone is not carrier-locked
Check method: Confirm with your carrier whether your device is carrier-locked.
*Please check if the above conditions are met before purchasing. eSIM can only function properly if all conditions are satisfied.
[Setting Up eSIM]
eSIM can only be installed under a stable network connection. Therefore, please plan the eSIM installation time reasonably according to the plan validity period before departure (it is recommended to install it within 6 hours before departure). Avoid installing too early, which may cause the plan to expire prematurely and affect usage.
[Enable Data Roaming]
Please ensure the "Data Roaming" option for the eSIM is enabled.
[Maintaining Fair Internet Usage Principles]
To maintain internet connection quality and uphold the Fair Usage Policy (FUP), telecom companies worldwide may sometimes impose data restrictions on customers who use a large amount of internet data within a short period. This may lead to internet access failure or slower speeds. To ensure your normal internet connection, please try to avoid prolonged video watching/downloading, software updates, sharing your internet connection with others (hotspot), or other data-intensive usage behaviors.
After arriving at your destination, please connect to the internet to install and activate the eSIM. Do not install this eSIM outside the destination country, as this may cause early activation and billing, shortening the validity period of the data plan.
[Installing eSIM]
1. Open the QR code attachment in your Trip. com APP order and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device. (For iOS 17 and above, and some Android phones, you can save the QR code image directly to your phone. )
2. Open Cellular (iOS) or SIM Card Management (Android) in your phone's settings.
3. With your phone connected to the internet, tap "Add Cellular Plan" (iOS) or "Add SIM Card" (Android) and scan the QR code to install.
4. If you cannot scan the code, you can enter the "SM-DP+ Address" and "Activation Code" from your order voucher to install.
5. If steps 3 or 4 fail, your phone may be network-locked by your home carrier (unable to use other carrier network bands). You need to contact your carrier to unlock it before using the eSIM.
Setting Up Internet Access
[Using eSIM]
1. Turn off your primary SIM card and turn on the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable Cellular Data (iOS) or the SIM card (Android).
3. Turn on Data Roaming.
4. If you still cannot access the internet after the above settings, please set the APN and restart your phone. See details below.
[About APN]
1. If you purchased an eSIM covering multiple countries/regions and cannot connect upon arriving in a new area, please manually switch the APN (normally it switches automatically).
2. Setting path: Cellular > Cellular Data Network, or Settings > Mobile Network > Access Point Names > Add.
3. Enter APN: plus
4. Restart your phone.
[How to Use a Renewal Order]
The renewal order will activate automatically after the validity period of the initial data plan ends. Do not scan the QR code to install it again.
1. For high-speed data plans that throttle after usage, the throttled data will be used first until the initial plan's validity ends. You must restart your phone to start using the renewed data plan.
2. For high-speed data plans that stop after usage, after the high-speed data is used up, restart your phone to start using the renewed order.
If you need to use the eSIM on another device, please click "Re-book" instead of "Renew". Renewed data plans do not support switching devices.
